Hello,
I just read your post about discovering L.L.Bean and the summer concert series. I thought you might like to know and perhaps share with your readers that there is a food drive to benefit local food pantries during each concert of the summer. Wayside Soup Kitchen in Portland and Freeport Community Center staff a booth from 2pm-10pm each Saturday on L.L.Bean’s Discovery patio (near the boot sculpture) and collect non-perishable food items or monetary donations. It is a good way to hear great music and support a good cause at the same time.
