The yurt provides riders a warm place to take a break and enjoy hot soup, sandwiches and beverages without having to return to the main lodge. Sugarloaf
A brief 45 minute drive from Rangeley Lake Resort is the town of Carrabassett Valley, home to the largest
ski resort in Maine, Sugarloaf. In addition to 921 skiable acres Sugarloaf offers snowshoeing, tubing, ice skating, cross country skiing and snowmobiling, making the resort a snow lover’s haven and perfect for the family. Three unique terrain parks will have the freestyle riders flying while 146 trails stretching over 54 miles will keep traditionalists busy for days. Sugarloaf is also the only resort in the East to offer lift service above the tree line, providing visitors a unique opportunity to attack the mountain.
