A Holiday Family Tradition Alive on Stage
Maine State Ballet’s renowned production of “The Nutcracker” is back to fill your night with a magical fairytale and your heart with Christmas spirit.
“The Nutcracker” plunges you into the visually magnificent story of a young German girl who dreams of a Nutcracker Prince. He guides her on a journey to the Land of Snow, an enchanted forest wonderland where they are welcomed by dancing snowflakes. The two adventurers end up in the midst of a fierce battle against a fierce Mouse King.
For over 30 years under the direction of Jonathan and Linda Miele, the Maine State Ballet School for the Performing Arts has specialized in ballet, tap, jazz and theater performance. “The Nutcracker” is a yearly tradition and looked forward to by all Mainers, whether they are from Kittery to Fort Kent.
