Visit Portland Head Light before it’s too late!
If you aren’t familiar with Portland Head Light, it’s situated along the shores of Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth. The award winning museum is enclosed within the former Keepers Quarters and it contains a number of lighthouse lenses and displays.
It’s open daily from Memorial Day to the Friday after Columbus Day and then it’s only open on weekends from April until Memorial Day and from Columbus Day to just before Christmas so if you haven’t been there yet you don’t have long to check it out! There is also a seasonal shop there that sells lighthouse and Maine related gifts. Hours are from 10 am – 4 pm and admission is only $2 for adults and $1 for children ages 6-18. Children under 6 are free. For more information, call Jeanne Gross, the Museum Director, at 207-799-2661.
